Membership Types
For trainees currently undergoing technical education in recognized institutions.
Requirement: Student membership is open to individuals undergoing training in technical institutions recognized by the Council of NAEC for engineering craftsmen development.
For individuals with approved academic qualifications entering the profession.
Requirement: Graduate membership of the Association is automatic for all persons who have academic qualification acceptable to the Council of the Association
For experienced practitioners progressing towards full professional membership.
Requirement: This category serves as a pathway to full membership and requires at least SSCE, Trade Test Grade One, and ten years of engineering experience, subject to examination and interview.
For qualified professionals with proven competence and independent practice capability.
Requirement: Corporate membership requires recognized technical qualifications and proven engineering competence, with the ability to perform professional duties independently as a skilled practitioner.
For distinguished members recognized for outstanding contributions and leadership.
Requirement: Fellowship is the highest membership grade, awarded by invitation or application to distinguished members who have made significant contributions and demonstrated authority in their field.
For notable individuals honored for their contributions to the engineering profession.
Requirement: Honorary fellowship is awarded to individuals who have made notable contributions to the engineering profession, as recognized by the Council.
